# Analyze an L5X file with AI

> Open an .L5X or .ACD Logix export in Orbis and ask an AI agent about its programs, tags and rungs, with answers that cite the logic they came from.

An `.L5X` file is the XML export of a Studio 5000 project. On a large project, reading it by hand means searching a very long file for the one rung you need. Orbis opens it and lets an AI agent search it for you.

## Steps

1. Install Orbis. See [Install Orbis](https://orbiscontrols.com/docs/install).
2. Open the `.L5X` file, or an `.ACD` file. Orbis builds the project tree, tag tables and routines from it. See [Open a project](https://orbiscontrols.com/docs/open-a-project).
3. Ask a question in the chat.

## Questions that work well

These examples come from the sample project in the demo on the [home page](https://orbiscontrols.com), a fictional filling line:

- *Where is `P_101.Req` set?*
- *Request it only while the filler runs.* (a change request, which the agent applies to a working copy)

An answer lists the rungs and tags the agent read, draws the relevant rung as ladder, and links to it in the editor.

## What you get back

For questions, an answer you can verify against the rung. For changes, a diff drawn as ladder that you review before exporting. See [Review changes](https://orbiscontrols.com/docs/review-changes).
